Xbox Live game on Windows Phone 7 Series

Posted by Anglina On March - 7 - 2010

Microsoft’s Eric Rudder had the opportunity to show what we can expect from games that have a foot in multiple worlds; console, computer, and mobile phone. The rudder to display showed the same game (Indiana Jones), which played on multiple platforms. Windows 7 Series handset accelerometer used to control the movement and take advantage of that appear on the screen to jump.

This type of scenario is fully compatible with Microsoft’s “three screens and the cloud” approach to life and the universe, and everything. And the ability to start one game and that it could easily continue on another machine would be a real coup for a company that has a much larger footprint in the world services than any other company in the smartphone.

Google Mobile Adsense

Posted by Anglina On February - 26 - 2010

Another great news for app developers. Now google open a great source of revenue for them. Google is moving into mobile adds marketing with AdSense for mobile apps. Few moths ago google has been testing text, graphic and video adds with top ten mobile app developers, including Urbanspoon and Shazam. Now google is opening the adds for more developer who meet certain requirements.

Google mobile ads can be targeted by applications, categories, loctions and keywords like other adsense. The best quality of google mobile ads are free and generate at least 100,000 pageviews/day. This adsen program is only for Android and iPhone apps. No time for much wait your ad is live with in four weeks. You also have different option for these ads like text, graphic and videos ads.

Mobile app developers are going to sign up whichever ad network can give them the highest CPMs, and will swap out the ones which can’t keep up. Already, we are seeing some jostling for position among the mobile ad network startups. AdMob just kicked out AdWhirl from showing ads within its platform. I wonder if AdMob will allow Mobile AdSense ads on its network.

AdMob responds that it will work with any mobile app developer on a non-exclusive basis and that developers which have established a direct relationship with AdMob can work with competing ad networks.

Now Google Earth available for Android

Posted by roveshia On February - 23 - 2010

Nexus One has gave a great platform to showcase the rich (and technically demanding!) features of Google Earth. With a 1GHz processor, advanced 3D graphics, and Android 2.1, Nexus One packs a lot of performance in a thin package. Ever since we got our hands on one, we have been putting it through its paces, drawing complex scenes of 3D imagery, terrain, roads, and other layers, and Nexus One never misses a beat. Now that we have put the final touches on the app, we are happy to announce that the latest member of our family is ready for the world — Google Earth for Android. This is our fastest mobile version of Google Earth yet, with a smooth framerate and a beautiful 800 x 480 screen.

With the release of Google Earth for Android, we are also introducing the Roads layer, a very popular feature of the desktop version of Google Earth. Now you can get a better sense of where you are with road labels drawn on top of the satellite imagery.

Microsoft Outlook Connects to Facebook

Microsoft announced this week that their popular email program would be able to connect to Facebook, in addition to LinkedIn and MySpace. The company’s blog notes that, the new “Outlook Social Connector brings together communications history, contact information, and professional and social networking information into the Outlook experience.”

Facebook Users Photo Uploads Exceed Global Film Output

According to an interesting blog from Tom Koltai from Perceptric Pty limited, he  posted the analyzed data reported this week to conclude that Facebook users are posting more movies than the global film industry on an annual basis. Koltai arrived at this conclusion by simple math: 400 million Facebook users upload 3 billion photos per month. If a photo equals a single frame of a film and basic projectors operate a 24-25 frames per second, a ninety minute movie is about 135,000 frames. So, each month Facebook users create 22,222 ninety minute movies, whereas the global film output is only 5,100 films a year.

Another MySpace Exec Heads to Facebook

Monica Keller, a group architect at MySpace, announced last Friday on her blog that she would be leaving the social network to join Facebook as a web standards and program manager. While at MySpace Keller worked with the network’s activity streams, openness and appeared frequently at conferences.

Free Download & Review of Updated YouMail for BlackBerry

Posted by roveshia On February - 17 - 2010

YouMail notified all their email subscribers that they have just released an update to their popular voicemail application. YouMail gives users an alternative to carrier voicemail by bypassing what the carriers offer while giving you a host of new features. I personally use YouMail and enjoy visual voicemail that most carriers didn’t offer for Blackberry’s until recently. This update brings a lot of new features to the application, better performance, improved battery life, and gives you more control over your YouMail account. Read more information, and a full list of updated features here!
Download the YouMail app from the Blackberry App World

YouMail Is Much Smarter

-YouMail can now detect new voicemail WITHOUT needing TXT alerts or “polling”, leading to better battery life and no hassle with TXTs. Instead, YouMail reliably detects e-mail alerts going to your phone - just go to application settings, turn off “TXT alerts” and “polling”, and turn on e-mail alerts.

-YouMail can now make sounds, flash the LED, and vibrate for new voicemails, just like you can for TXT, MMS, and E-mail messages. Check out your profile settings and you’ll find a new YouMail option– we’re now completely integrated with the BlackBerry’s built-in Notification service.

-YouMail now gives you more greeting control: you can control what YouMail does with “unknown callers”, “blocked callers”, and “smart greetings”.

-YouMail lets you try out our voice-to-text transcriptions with a single click from the application.

YouMail Looks Much Better

-YouMail made dates much easier to read – “today”, “yesterday”, “Mon 2/1”, etc.., and made it easy to see new messages by displaying the caller name in BOLD.

-It has completely redesigned the screen that plays messages – which should make them easier to play and read.

YouMail Connects Better And Boots Faster

-We’ve reworked YouMail to handle network problems much more efficiently, which will especially impact those of you with spotty coverage or unreliable WiFi connections. There is now much less data traffic, more efficient and less frequent authentication, and smarter connection attempts.

-We now ensure that voicemail audio files on SD-cards when the phone boots up - so you can now upgrade YouMail without worrying about old voicemails having to all be downloaded again.

-We now handled some relatively rare cases that caused problems downloading voicemails. Some Blackberry phones redirected our audio requests through other services – and this now just works. Other Blackberry servers only allow small files to be transferred – if you have this problem, just go to “Storage “ and choose the “chunk audio” option.

YouMail Has Better Troubleshooting

-It now provide user-friendly information about the network and authentication status of the application – easily accessible from the about screen.

-It is made more effortless for you to tell us if there’s problem – just click the “Send Log” button on the About screen, and it’ll create an e-mail telling us exactly what’s happened with your application. Just add a brief note about what you were doing, and we’ll be able to quickly diagnose any issue.

Integration of Facebook and Twitter with Google Buzz

Posted by roveshia On February - 16 - 2010

Google Buzz has made a great impact on the social networking sphere within few days after its official launch. Most of the twitter and Facebook users have started using the Google Buzz even without leaving their existing Twitter, Facebook social activities.

Instead of switching between different tabs/windows to make your presence in Twitter, Facebook and Buzz, it would be better to have everything in one place.

There is a simple and easy to try method for integrating the Twitter and Facebook with Buzz in GMail using the GMail gadgets.

For facebook: add the below link in gadgets tab section,

http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/104971404861070329537/facebook.xml

and for Twitter: add the following gadget link in gadget tab section,

https://twittergadget.appspot.com/gadget-gmail.xml

Don’t worry if you couldnt find the Gadgets tab in the GMail settings section, you need to enable it in GMail Labs tab.

Happy Buzzing!!!!

Trend of Diamond Earrings after Golden Globes

Posted by roveshia On January - 28 - 2010

Last year statement necklaces were the big trend for the Golden Globes but this year it seems that diamond earrings are the hottest trend.White diamond earrings were particularly popular in Golden Globes and many actresses looked beautiful in diamond drop earrings worn on their own, without a necklace. Personally I love this look – it’s glamorous, chic and draws attention to elegant necklines and décolletage.

The classic glamour and irresistible sparkle of diamond earrings sets off any outfit – whether you are wearing diamond studs with jeans and t-shirt or cluster or drop earrings with an evening outfit. Diamonds are perfect for catching the light and bring truly classic glamour to any outfit. And with Valentines Day just around the corner, diamond earrings are practically the perfect gift. There are many styles of diamond earring to choose from but here are some of the favourite pairs.
