Xbox Live game on Windows Phone 7 Series

Posted by Anglina On March - 7 - 2010

Microsoft’s Eric Rudder had the opportunity to show what we can expect from games that have a foot in multiple worlds; console, computer, and mobile phone. The rudder to display showed the same game (Indiana Jones), which played on multiple platforms. Windows 7 Series handset accelerometer used to control the movement and take advantage of that appear on the screen to jump.

This type of scenario is fully compatible with Microsoft’s “three screens and the cloud” approach to life and the universe, and everything. And the ability to start one game and that it could easily continue on another machine would be a real coup for a company that has a much larger footprint in the world services than any other company in the smartphone.

Review of newly released Windows 7 Location Sensor

A software based GPS for use in Windows 7 has been developed and released by Rafael Rivera and Long Zheng.

The software installs a Windows 7 Sensor into the operating system that allows third party applications to become location aware. Dubbed “Geosense for Windows”, the software uses the Sensors platform introduced in Windows 7.

Geosense is a Windows Sensor that provides positioning information. The sensor utilises the Google Location Services for WiFi and IP triangulation to provide reasonably accurate location data.

Rivera, the developer behind Geosense, claims that future updates could include support for location services such as Skyhook Wireless and Navizon, providing there’s a demand for it. A combination of different location services would improve location data.

How does it work?

The application is packaged in an installer for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 versions. The installer will create a Windows 7 Sensor named “Geosense” that will interact with Google’s location services to pinpoint your location. It works best with a Wi-Fi enabled PC or laptop but will work over any IP connection. Windows 7 will notify you each time your location is accessed by a third party application.

Why do I need it? What does it work with?

At this moment in time the Windows Sensor platform is lacking to say the least. Very few developers have built support for the Sensor platform into their products. Geosense claims that Mahtweets (twitter client), Windows 7’s weather gadget and a specially designed Google Maps client will all utilize the Sensor. Rivera confirmed Geosense are working closely with several companies to build support for Windows 7 Sensors but declined to name any organisations.

Geosense is available free for both Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit editions.

Microsoft Outlook Connects to Facebook

Microsoft announced this week that their popular email program would be able to connect to Facebook, in addition to LinkedIn and MySpace. The company’s blog notes that, the new “Outlook Social Connector brings together communications history, contact information, and professional and social networking information into the Outlook experience.”

Facebook Users Photo Uploads Exceed Global Film Output

According to an interesting blog from Tom Koltai from Perceptric Pty limited, he  posted the analyzed data reported this week to conclude that Facebook users are posting more movies than the global film industry on an annual basis. Koltai arrived at this conclusion by simple math: 400 million Facebook users upload 3 billion photos per month. If a photo equals a single frame of a film and basic projectors operate a 24-25 frames per second, a ninety minute movie is about 135,000 frames. So, each month Facebook users create 22,222 ninety minute movies, whereas the global film output is only 5,100 films a year.

Monica Keller, a group architect at MySpace, announced last Friday on her blog that she would be leaving the social network to join Facebook as a web standards and program manager. While at MySpace Keller worked with the network’s activity streams, openness and appeared frequently at conferences.

Posted by Anglina On November - 4 - 2009

To compete with his competator Microsoft inovate MSN, By adding Twitter and Facebook. The comperison of main old and updated features of MSN.com are :

Old Features:

Heavy blue blackground
 Stack tiny text
Menue across the top of the page
 Menue defiend msn.com for decade

New Features:

 Clean white background
Colourful links news, entertainment, sports, money, lifestyle
Slide show top five stories with headlies and photos

According to MSN executive producer Scott Moore, the site main gole is to increase Bing search share. Bing wich is launched in june, remains in third in search engine after google and yahoo Inc.

The redesigning of MSN shows Microsoft’s growing intrest in the popularity of sites, reather than trying to compete.
The main and for most featuer whic attrates me is that we are login on three different networks at one page. We receiv friends up dates from three different networks at one place.
This invention in msn.com rolling out large numbers of peoples from US our throught out the world. We wish for great success for msn.com .

Last week yahoo and Microsoft combined on an agreement that will see Bing MS search engine used on yahoo.
This is a new search engine giant to Google.
Bing and yahoo have a combined market of 6%.4%is of Bing and remaining 2% is of yahoo and is still way behind Google i-e 92%.
If Bing increases its share to 15% it will provide an alternate for Google.

Most important Benefit:
An Alternate For Google Bing has helped to improved the local websites which were previously only available with google. If you cannot
find anything on google you have an alternative. This is the major benefit of Bing that allow users to limit searches.
It has also proved beneficial for advertisers. if its share increases then it will be an alternate for Google with a cover
cost which could saved their money.

wrapping up :
For me competition is good in any market. Microsoft with its strength technology and a platform to compete with google and yahoo has a formidable advertiser base and advertising sales team.SO
