Integration of Facebook and Twitter with Google Buzz

Posted by roveshia On February - 16 - 2010

Google Buzz has made a great impact on the social networking sphere within few days after its official launch. Most of the twitter and Facebook users have started using the Google Buzz even without leaving their existing Twitter, Facebook social activities.

Instead of switching between different tabs/windows to make your presence in Twitter, Facebook and Buzz, it would be better to have everything in one place.

There is a simple and easy to try method for integrating the Twitter and Facebook with Buzz in GMail using the GMail gadgets.

For facebook: add the below link in gadgets tab section,

http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/104971404861070329537/facebook.xml

and for Twitter: add the following gadget link in gadget tab section,

https://twittergadget.appspot.com/gadget-gmail.xml

Don’t worry if you couldnt find the Gadgets tab in the GMail settings section, you need to enable it in GMail Labs tab.

Happy Buzzing!!!!

Threat of phishing attacks on Twitter

It has been seen from tweets that various people are being forced to change their passwords on Twitter in response to possible phishing threats.

The message from twitter itself says:

“Due to concern that your account may have been compromised in a phishing attack that took place off-Twitter, your password was reset.”

There have been a number of cases where phishers have targeted user accounts via DM sending them to a spoof login page that grabs passwords and then uses your account to propagate the phishing messages to more users.

In this case, it appears Twitter itself wants to be one step ahead of potential phishers and is asking people that it believes may have been a target to change their passwords immediately.

The screenshot below shows that it’s possible, that they may have gained access to users via NutshellMail, a service that lets you access and reply to Twitter messages as you would email.

Nintendo’s working on DS successor

Posted by roveshia On January - 10 - 2010

Nintendo has just confirmed that they are working on the successor to the DS
new handheld will feature “highly detailed graphics, and it will be necessary to have a sensor with the ability to read the movements of people playing”. Is this the NVIDIA Tegra Tech powered DS rumored the past couple of months or is it something else entirely?
With Apple still not having a decent handheld platform for games and Sony PSP still struggling behind the DS in sales, Nintendo should be thinking widescreen gaming plus disc based games plus a robust storage system that supports downloadable games minus the friend code.

More features often requires more power and often mean more space within a case. Hoping that Nintendo’s engineer have already figured out a solution to those problems.

The redesigning of MSN shows Microsoft’s growing intrest in the popularity of sites, reather than trying to compete.
The main and for most featuer whic attrates me is that we are login on three different networks at one page. We receiv friends up dates from three different networks at one place.
This invention in msn.com rolling out large numbers of peoples from US our throught out the world. We wish for great success for msn.com .

Twitter has launched a set of new change on the “Following” and “Followers” sections of its website. These changes make it easier to manage who you fallow as well as take quick actions, such as instant replying someone or direct messaging them, directly from the page. It make possible for user to take quick and instant action without the reputation of page.

Twitter add two new views for looking at these areas. Compact “List” of the followers and “Expanded” offers to view more details about the user’s last tweet, their real name and location. On the Followers page, there is also a button that allows for one-click following of users who already follow you.

The interesting thing about these icons is that they exactly appear look like icons of Apple user of OS X — including some of the ones on the iPhone. Could this mean that we’re about to see a revamped mobile version of the Twitter site? Who knows, but it could sure use an overhaul.
