One of the foremost online social news service, Digg has now released an all new application for the users working on Google Android mobile operating system powered mobile devices. This all new application is quite similar to the one Digg had released for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch devices and features almost a similar user interface. However, Digg’s application for Android does lack certain features that are available in iPhone.
The Digg application for Android enables the users to quickly find the stories on their preferred topics via Digg.com. Furthermore, the application also provides tabs for top, recent, and upcoming stories on Digg, Also, the users can also keep a track on the number of comments received by each of the stories, that they have dug out. The comments section on the Android Digg application presents two categories to the users. One that shows all the comments and the other sorts out only the best of the comments.
This all new application can be viewed in landscape mode in Android devices, a feature that is absent from the iPhone version. This feature provides a more interactive and comprehensive view of the service, as no text or image is cut out due to the portrait mode and the users can access their favorite content in impressive clarity.
