Your iPhone is not going to continue always. In actuality, long before it wears out, possibilities are that you will trade up to a higher model. The designers of Italian companies Med Computer and Biomood apparently decided that if the cover that you are using on that phone is bound to become outdated anyway, why should it last forever? The result is the 100% biodegradable iNature soft iPhone cover.
The iNature cases is made from an Italian bio-plastic called Apinat. In accordance to its designers, the cover well fits on an iPhone and it’s also guarding it against bumps and falls, yet it also won’t deteriorate or deform for the use when open to wet environments. It is stated that it remain straight and rigid along the corners of the screen, and has openings access to the phone’s various ports and other features.
When it comes time to get free of the iNature protect, it need to be placed in a composting atmosphere. Once there, it should biodegrade by over 90 percent in less than 180 days.
We saw the iNature cover for our-self last week at the Consumer Electronics Show, where it was known a an honoree in the CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards. On display with it was the iNature BioRolly, a eco-friendly device for protecting up loose device cables such as earphone cords.
The iNature phone cases are available in different colors and three models, to suit iPhones 3G, 3GS, 4 and 4S. It can be bought from the item website, for US$19.90.
