Nokia 500, Nokia’s First 1GHz Symbiran Smartphone in an Affordable Price

Nokia announced its first 1GHz smartphone and this new phone is called Nokia 500. It is the first Symbian Anna-based devise which could utilize a 1GHz-clocked CPU. This handset is very light weighted, has 93 grams weight.
This new phone is basically based on the Nokia C5-03 specs-wise but refreshes some of the key features, retaining the reportedly affordable price tag and features a 3.2 inch, 360 x 640 resolution capacitive touchscreen along with a 5 megapixel flash-less camera at the back (no front-facing camera) and 2GB of internal memory expandable via a microSD card slot up to 32GB.
New Nokia 500 has exchangeable back covers in different colors (two extra supplied with the phone) just like Nokia N79 back and the more interesting thing is that Nokia 500 changes its wallpaper automatically to match the color of the back cover you put on it.
It will be launched in black in Q3 with a white version coming in Q4 too. There will be six differently colored back panels at the launch in Q3. It’s supposed to cost ˆ150 before taxes and subsidies. Sounds affordable for a smartphone alright.
