The BBC News app for iPhone and iPad is now available to download after objections from the NPA were rejected out of hand. In February, the BBC announced the plans to release a BBC News app for smartphones and mobile devices. In March, the app, along with a sports app and an iPlayer app, were indefinitely delayed after the Newspaper Publishers Association (NPA) complained to the BBC Trust that the apps were unfair to commercial rivals. New apple iPhone 3.0 has problem with Sporadic Wi-Fi

New apple IPhone 3.0 G which is launched few days ago having some problem with Sporadic Wi-Fi. There is a discussion thread at Apple’s discussion board about sporadic Wi-Fi failures under iPhone 3.0. It seems that the Wi-Fi eventually poops out, resulting in no Wi-Fi connectivity even inches from the router. The only fix seems to be turning off push email. ssentially, WiFi works fine after the phone has been freshly booted (i.e. right after a restart) - however, once it has put itself into standby mode it will no longer download data over a WiFi connection after the phone is turned on again....
