Apple’s sixth generation iPod Nano is the most important product and has been debut in 2005. The previous case – Small and light, decent size screen and the clickwheel – has all but abandoned. The new design is a complete departure, a full touchscreen device that brings to mind something more than a large, vibrant timbre as a portable music player. Along with a radical redesign of the hardware, Apple has placed a media player a brand new operating system as well – the user interface that looks and sounds more than the iPod IOS.

Apple announced updates to the iPod nano today with the user interface changes to improve navigation and 16 to facilitate its use as a clock. Fitness characteristics are also improved compatibility with Nike + box, without additional accessories to maintain the rides and races.

Nano-interface now sports larger icons for easy navigation. The new clock faces are different models, including an imitation of Mickey Mouse analog watch digital and traditional Roman models.

Nike + compatibility to track walks and runs no longer requires a dongle, which was part of an accessory kit sold separately. The updated nano is now capable to remotely monitor, pace, time and most of the box.

The nano-to-date cost $129 for the 8GB model and $149 for the 16GB model, a decrease of $149 and $179 respectively. Both are available today. The colors available for both capacities are silver, graphite, blue, green, orange, pink and red.
